DevOps Manager / DevOps Engineer

Role Description

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's DevOps strategy, roadmap, and operational standards.
• Lead and manage DevOps engineers and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure platforms.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, container platforms, and hybrid environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and automation initiatives across the technology landscape.
• Establish monitoring, logging, observability, and incident management practices to improve system reliability and operational resilience.
• Collaborate with software development, QA, cybersecurity, and architecture teams to streamline software delivery and improve release quality.
• Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security controls and compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, capacity planning, and cloud cost management.
• Lead disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning for critical systems.
• Manage vendor relationships, technology platforms, budgets, and infrastructure investments.
• Develop DevOps standards, technical documentation, operational procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance automation, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and develop technical teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, Agile practices, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of Linux administration, networking, virtualization, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability, and performance management tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, DevSecOps, identity management, and infrastructure security.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Professional certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Terraform Associate, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent are an advantage.
