Key Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) .
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and manage remote state across environments.
  • Deploy, manage, scale, upgrade, and troubleshoot containerised applications running on AKS .
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
  • Manage Kubernetes deployments and configurations using Helm .
  • Monitor infrastructure and application availability, performance, capacity, and security.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, deployment, and production issues.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate access controls, secrets management, and security practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in production support, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering experience .
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform , including reusable modules, remote state management, variables, workspaces/environment management, and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm .
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes concepts including pods, deployments, services, ingress, configuration, secrets, resource limits, autoscaling, and persistent storage.
  • Working knowledge of Azure networking , including VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, load balancers, and application gateways.
  • Working knowledge of Azure identity and access management , including Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, and service principals.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and/or Prometheus/Grafana .
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions .
  • Proficiency with Git and Linux administration .
  • Scripting experience using Bash, PowerShell, or Python .
  • Good understanding of cloud security, high availability, backup/recovery, and infrastructure reliability principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
  • Azure Container Registry (ACR)
  • Azure Key Vault and secrets integration with AKS
  • Kubernetes networking and ingress controllers
  • Prometheus and Grafana
  • PostgreSQL or other managed database services
  • Redis, Kafka, or other distributed infrastructure components
  • Disaster recovery and multi-region Azure architectures
  • Infrastructure cost monitoring and optimisation
