DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer

Role overview

DevOps responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and manage infrastructure configurations.
• Improve development workflows and application delivery; troubleshoot deployment issues and strengthen reliability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.

Cloud and shared responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure, services, networks, storage, and computing resources.
• Support cloud migration, resource optimization, monitoring, backups, scalability, and availability.
• Automate infrastructure, support containerized environments, monitor systems, analyze performance, troubleshoot incidents, and document work.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or similar.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux and Windows servers, system administration, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management.
• Knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting or programming languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to reliability and security, and interest in automation and continuous improvement.
