Role overview
Part-time hybrid DevOps Engineer / Associate Software Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, with flexibility to work from home.
The role combines pipeline and infrastructure work with software engineering support across the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain development and deployment pipelines.
- Configure and manage infrastructure; set up and monitor CI workflows.
- Administer Linux-based systems and support secure, reliable application and service environments.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders and document processes and configurations.
- Troubleshoot production and staging issues; improve automation, performance, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong Infrastructure as Code skills, including common IaC tools and configuration management practices.
- Software development skills, including a modern programming language and version control systems.
- Continuous Integration skills, including maintaining and optimizing CI pipelines and build automation.
- Linux system administration skills, including managing servers, monitoring performance, and ensuring security and reliability.
- Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and capacity to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including clear technical documentation.
Beneficial experience
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, containerization such as Docker or Kubernetes, and basic networking concepts is beneficial.
- A relevant academic background or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
