Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side components using Python or Node JS
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following beset practices for coding, testing, and documentation.
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to your work.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science
- 7-10 years of experience as a Cloud Developer (AWS)
- Strong experience with AWS serverless architecture, including services like Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB and S3, SNS, SQS, EC2, AWS CodeBuild/Deploy/Commit/Pipeline
- Proficiency in Python/Node.js with a deep understanding of its ecosystems and best practices.
- Experience in building backend with Java is a plus.
- Experience building APIs
- Experience using Copilot (AI dev facilities)
- Understanding CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
- Automation, Databases, Configuration management.
- Elastic computing, SaaS, PaaS.
- Cloud computing, cloud security, cloud storage.
- Serverless stack
- AWS cloud computing platforms from development to deployment.
- Strong solution design experience leveraging microservice, event driven and cloud native architectures.
- RDS, DynamoDB
- Java/Node.JS/Python
- Enterprise Development experience in highly regulated industries
- Exposure to AI related development and use of AI tools in production
- Salary:
- $70,000.00 - $150,000.00
- Pay Type:
- Salaried
- The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
- Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
- BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
