Role purpose
Design, test, and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications deployed at client sites.
Support quality assurance and client delivery expectations.
Software design and development
- Understand product and software requirements, systems flows, data usage, and work processes.
- Develop software solutions and convert client requirements into feasible designs.
- Investigate problem areas, perform root cause analysis, and identify ways to improve performance and availability.
- Code and develop software modules; modify software to correct errors, adapt to hardware, or improve performance and interfaces.
- Assess operational feasibility and analyze proposed software and system changes.
Testing, delivery, and reporting
- Design and execute validation processes and test cases, and help ensure code is free of bugs and test failures.
- Analyze and recommend new system installations or modifications to existing systems.
- Prepare project specifications, activity reports, status updates, documentation, and daily progress records.
- Support continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, implementation, troubleshooting, and adherence to release schedules.
- Document and demonstrate solutions with flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and clear code comments.
Client and team collaboration
- Coordinate with functional teams, systems analysts, project managers, engineering staff, and stakeholders.
- Capture client requirements and clarifications, gather feedback, and respond to customer requests to support timely delivery.
- Maintain professional customer interactions through written communications, fault tracking, and calls.
- Take part in continuing education and training to keep current with best practices and programming languages.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience.
- GitHub is a mandatory skill.
Performance measures
Measures include error-free onboarding and implementation, throughput, and adherence to the schedule or release plan.
Quality measures include on-time delivery, troubleshooting, customer experience, and completion of assigned upskilling certifications.
MIS and reporting are expected to be completed on time.
