Source and procure materials for architecture and interior design projects, balancing design intent, quality, cost, and timelines.
Candidate background
- Strong knowledge of the architecture and interior design material market.
- Understand materials, brands, vendors, market rates, specifications, and sourcing channels.
Sourcing and procurement
- Source flooring, tiles, stone, laminates, veneers, fabrics, wallpaper, lighting, sanitaryware, hardware, furniture, glass, metal finishes, acoustic materials, and other interior finishes.
- Research suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, market rates, and alternative materials; visit markets, showrooms, exhibitions, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities.
- Compare vendor quotations, samples, specifications, lead times, and commercial terms, and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Coordinate design intent, specifications, samples, and approvals with architects, designers, and project teams.
- Maintain vendor and material databases with pricing and contact details.
- Track procurement schedules, availability, lead times, and deliveries; recommend cost-effective alternatives and value engineering.
- Keep the design team informed about new products, market trends, pricing changes, and material innovations.
Pay
- ₹20,000–₹35,000 per month.
