Egis is seeking a Design Manager - Master Planning in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role leads multidisciplinary teams delivering large-scale, sustainable, and commercially viable urban development plans.
The manager translates client vision into master plans aligned with local regulations, market demands, and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead master planning projects from conceptualization through completion and manage and mentor multidisciplinary design teams.
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies; develop master plans using design software and modeling tools.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and municipal authorities on regulatory and local development requirements.
- Analyze market trends, demographic data, and economic factors to inform design strategies.
- Prepare and present design proposals, visualizations, and reports to clients and internal leadership.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources; quality-assure deliverables against organizational and client standards.
- Ensure sustainable design practices and keep current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in master planning, urban design, or large-scale development projects.
- Experience developing comprehensive master plans for mixed-use, residential, commercial, or mixed-development projects.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and leading design-focused projects.
- Project management experience covering budgets, scheduling, and resource management.
Technical and professional skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, and 3D modeling tools.
- Experience with BIM and advanced visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, local planning standards, sustainable design principles, and green building standards.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulations is preferred; familiarity with the Middle Eastern market and development context is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
