Genius Loci is a brand and design firm focused on strategy and design for leisure and destination environments.
GLSW is its signage and wayfinding division, based at the Dubai headquarters and consulting on global projects.
The division integrates signage, wayfinding, and environmental graphics with architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate studio work across global workplace projects and collaborate with design, technical, and project managers.
- Gather information for creative briefs and concepts; attend weekly project calls to track progress and feedback.
- Raise studio inquiries in client meetings and set up workflow tools to track studio deliverables.
- Guide partners in implementing design packages through site support or assessment of possible tenderers.
- Maintain and communicate GLSW guidelines and support projects consistent with the brand and values.
- Research projects and maintain guidelines, standards, templates, briefs, archives, processes, and procedures.
- Manage internal content, visuals, resources, messaging, and local and international standards.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, maintain regular internal meeting cadences, and build relationships in the creative community.
- Maintain a global list of potential design and fabrication partners for review and onboarding.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree; a degree in business administration, marketing, design, or engineering is preferred.
- Strong understanding of environmental graphics and industrial design; wayfinding systems are a plus.
- 3–5 years of industry experience in graphic design, branding, or environmental graphics projects.
- At least five years of project management experience in a design studio.
- Familiarity with architectural construction documents and signage fabrication and installation materials and methods.
- Strong written and oral communication, proficiency in English, and ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across business units.
- PMP certification or equivalent is recommended. Arabic is a plus.
Software competency
- PowerPoint and Microsoft Suite proficiency are specified.
- Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and Revit are useful but not required.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software is a plus.
