Role Overview
Our client, a leading
design and construction consultancy
, is seeking an experienced
Design Manager
to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across major
projects in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will have a strong consultancy background, deep
technical expertise, and the ability to manage the full design lifecycle from concept through
IFC and construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the
- design management process
across Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design,
- and IFC stages.
- Review and approve architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist design packages to
- ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and authority regulations.
- Manage coordination between consultants, contractors, and client teams to ensure
- seamless technical integration and conflict-free deliverables.
- Oversee design progress, submission schedules, and quality control across all
- disciplines.
- Provide technical leadership, resolving design issues and ensuring alignment with
- project vision, budget, and programme.
- Prepare and present design reports, progress updates, and technical recommendations
- to senior stakeholders.
- Support tender documentation, value engineering, and design-related risk
- management.
- Ensure adherence to sustainability standards, local authority requirements, and
- international best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum
- 15 years of relevant experience
- , with at least 10 years in the
- consultancy
- sector
- .
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design on large-scale projects in the
- UAE or GCC.
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP coordination.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Degree in Architecture
