Design Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute mechanical design activities from concept through production.
• Create, develop, and maintain complex mechanical and turbomachinery designs.
• Ensure designs meet technical, manufacturing, performance, and customer requirements.
• Manage multiple engineering projects and deliver designs to agreed cost and schedule.
• Produce and maintain engineering drawings and design documentation.
• Work with manufacturing, engineering, and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Support design reviews, technical assessments, and product development.
• Present technical information and design solutions to teams and customers.

Essential experience and qualifications

• At least 6 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Strong experience in gas turbine design or engineering, turbomachinery, or gas turbine equipment.
• Experience taking designs from concept through production.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering requirements.
• Experience working with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong CAD experience; Siemens NX is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications.
