Role Overview
Design and develop solar façade systems for high-rise buildings and tower projects.
Combine engineering knowledge, design skills, architectural aesthetics, and practical façade-system understanding.
Develop solutions that support structural integrity, functionality, constructability, safety, and solar energy generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create façade concepts integrating solar panels or photovoltaic systems with building architecture.
- Develop 2D and 3D designs, shop drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, electrical, and façade requirements.
- Design façade support structures, brackets, framing systems, and related components.
- Review structural requirements for high-rise façade installations and ensure strength and stability.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Prepare technical drawings, design calculations, specifications, and material requirements.
- Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, safe, and suitable for fabrication and installation.
- Review project drawings and identify design conflicts or technical issues.
- Support design development from concept through detailed engineering and construction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and project specifications.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles.
- Good knowledge of high-rise tower construction and façade systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design or drafting software.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil, electrical, and MEP drawings.
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrication, connections, and construction methodology.
- Good knowledge of design coordination and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a good sense of architectural aesthetics and façade appearance.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in façade design, structural design, solar or photovoltaic façade systems, or high-rise building projects is highly preferred.
- Experience with Revit, 3D modeling, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar software is an advantage.
- Experience with solar façades or Building Integrated Photovoltaics is advantageous.
- Experience with curtain wall, architectural metal, aluminum, steel, or glass façade systems is advantageous.
- Experience with parametric or 3D façade design and construction detailing is advantageous.
Pay
- Pay is AED 2,850.85 to AED 11,621.74 per month.
