Role overview

Clinical care

• Conduct patient consultations and comprehensive dermatological assessments.
• Diagnose and treat conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, pigmentation disorders, hair loss, and fungal infections.
• Develop personalised treatment and follow-up plans; prescribe medications and topical treatments when clinically appropriate.
• Perform minor dermatological procedures and provide aesthetic treatments within clinic services and scope of practice.
• Perform or supervise chemical peels, laser treatments, skin rejuvenation, acne and pigmentation treatments, PRP, and injectables where appropriately licensed and trained.
• Assess suitability for aesthetic procedures and explain options, expected outcomes, risks, and aftercare.
• Maintain confidential patient records; follow infection-control, patient-safety, and clinical governance standards.
• Monitor outcomes, provide follow-up care, and refer patients for further investigation or specialist care when required.
• Stay current with treatments, technologies, and clinical guidelines; collaborate with nurses, aesthetic therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Required qualifications

• Recognised medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent, and a specialist qualification in Dermatology.
• Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a Dermatologist.
• Previous experience in clinical dermatology.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, patient consultation and communication skills, and knowledge of dermatological medications, procedures, and treatment protocols.

Preferred qualifications

• Aesthetic or cosmetic dermatology experience is highly preferred; UAE healthcare experience is preferred.
• Experience with lasers, injectables, PRP, chemical peels, and skin rejuvenation treatments is preferred.
• Additional aesthetic medicine certifications or training and an existing patient base or strong clinical portfolio are advantageous.
