About YHEGO

YHEGO is a regulated virtual asset exchange based in Dubai under the oversight of Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).

The platform offers spot trading, an OTC desk, and fiat integration, and safeguards client assets through segregated accounts with regulated local banking partners.

The company describes its team environment as open, collaborative, and agile, with a focus on secure and accessible digital assets.

Role overview

The Deputy MLRO supports the Money Laundering Reporting Officer in day-to-day AML/CFT operations for the virtual asset exchange.

The role is full-time and hybrid in Dubai, with some flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor transactions, review alerts, and escalate suspicious activity in line with local and international regulations.
  • Maintain and enhance AML, sanctions, and fraud-prevention compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, support regulatory reporting, coordinate internal investigations, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate across teams, provide compliance training and guidance, and help prepare for regulatory audits and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated AML/CFT expertise, including UAE, VARA, and international virtual-asset service provider regulations.
  • Experience with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, KYC/KYB, and suspicious-activity investigations in financial services or crypto/fintech.
  • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills; able to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and make timely decisions.
  • Understanding of virtual assets, blockchain, and digital asset exchange operations, or ability and willingness to develop this knowledge quickly.
  • Strong written and spoken English, including drafting reports, policies, and regulatory submissions; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  • Able to collaborate in a fast-paced agile environment, manage priorities, and work with attention to detail and integrity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Compliance, or a related field; CAMS, ICA, or equivalent certifications are highly beneficial.
  • Prior compliance, MLRO, or Deputy MLRO experience in a regulated financial institution or virtual asset service provider is strongly preferred.
