Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage daily depot operations, maintenance and compliance, including asset fitness for purpose and minor and major works.
• Implement marine safety systems and procedures under PMSC and DSA02-DMR requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work, the OPA Control of Work Procedure, legislation and relevant good practice.
• Oversee projects, installations and modifications, identifying hazards and risks throughout their lifecycle.
• Maintain effective site security and deliver the Site and Process Safety Improvement Plan.
• Manage depot HR issues with support from the HR function.
• Develop emergency plans and act as Incident Main Controller under corporate response plans.
• Work with engineering and HSE teams to improve procedures, practices and safety compliance.

Candidate requirements

• At least 3 years of management experience in an operational or process safety role in a COMAH-regulated or high-hazard business.
• Proven experience in the oil or petroleum storage industry.
• Strong knowledge of COMAH, EA Containment Policy and PSLG requirements.
• Appropriate degree, equivalent professional qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Competence with all Microsoft Office applications is a prerequisite.
• Full driving licence required; a clean licence is preferred due to occasional travel to other sites.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and staff motivation skills.

Workplace and travel

• Based at the Oil Fuel Depot in Garelochhead, Helensburgh.
• Occasional travel to other sites may be required.
