Dental Assistant

Provide support to dental professionals and ensure smooth operations within a dental practice.

Assist with various patient care and administrative tasks, contributing to the delivery of high-quality dental care and exceptional patient experiences.

The role requires to (1) handle sensitive administrative issues associated with health care needs and possibly disputes; (2) actively participate in all for the health promotion programs (3) participate in regular internal, government and other external audits.

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.

Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, providing suction, and ensuring patient comfort.

Prepare patients for dental examinations, treatments, and procedures.

Ensure patients' comfort and address their concerns or questions.

Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanour while attending to patients' needs.

Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including proper handling and sterilization of instruments, equipment, and surfaces.

Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory and sterilization area.

Assist in dental radiograph (X-rays) as directed by the dentist, following radiation safety guidelines.

Accurate and efficient gathering of patient information, treatment details, and medical histories in the dental practice management software.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

Assist with inventory management by monitoring and restocking dental supplies, materials, and equipment.

Prepare and maintain dental materials, instruments, and trays for use during procedures.

Assist in scheduling patient appointments and coordinating with patients for follow-up visits.

Provide administrative support, such as handling patient inquiries, and maintaining patient records.

Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care, and preventive measures.

Provide oral health instructions and recommendations as directed by the dentist.

Collaborate effectively with the dental team, including dentists, senior dental assistant, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care.

Maintain all logbooks related to dental procedures/inventory.

Prepare data to generate reports, charts, and presentation.

Assist in identifying information processing problems and escalate it to the senior dental assistant.
