Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Denodo Architecture & Virtual Data Modeling

• Architect and govern Denodo virtual data models and abstraction layers aligned with enterprise data architecture.
• Design reusable, semantic virtual views for enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Ensure consistency, correctness, and maintainability of virtual data layers across domains.

Reporting Performance Optimization

• Optimize Denodo queries and virtual views to meet reporting SLAs.
• Design and implementation:
• Caching strategies
• Push‑down optimization
• Query and view tuning
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks impacting downstream reporting tools.

Security & Access Control

• Design and enforce security and role‑based access control (RBAC) within Denodo.
• Implement data masking, authorization rules, and access segregation as per data security and governance standards.
• Support auditability and compliance requirements.

Downstream Reporting Enablement

• Enable seamless integration of BI and reporting tools with Denodo.
• Support reporting teams with:
• Virtual schema walkthroughs
• Data semantics and dependencies
• Query and performance optimization
• Ensure minimal impact to reports during source migration or repointing.

Denodo Platform & Application Architecture

Web Application & UI

• Architect and support Denodo web components, including:
• Denodo Data Catalog Web UI
• Ensure usability, stability, and compliance with supported browser standards:
• Google Chrome (latest 3 major versions)
• Mozilla Firefox (latest 3 major versions)
• Microsoft Edge (latest 3 major versions)

Administration & Operations

• Govern and support Denodo administration tools:
• Diagnostic & Monitoring Tool
• Solution Manager
• Scheduler Administration Tool
• Denodo Design Studio
• Define monitoring, alerting, and operational procedures for platform stability and availability.

Backend & Server Components

Backend Applications & Modules

• Architect and manage core Denodo components:
• Denodo Virtual DataPort
• Data Catalog Server
• Scheduler Server
• Solution Manager Server

Technology Stack

• Backend: Java 17
• Metadata Database: SQL Server 2022
• Web Container: Apache Tomcat 10.x

Phase 1 Remediation & Phase 2 Delivery

• Review and assess existing Denodo implementations from Phase 1.
• Identify:
• Model design gaps
• Performance issues
• Security misconfigurations
• Define remediation, re‑design, and optimization strategies.
• Ensure Denodo aligns with evolving Phase 2 data models and Lakehouse integrations.

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with:
• Enterprise/Data Architects
• Data Engineers
• BI and Reporting teams
• Governance and Security teams
• Participate in design reviews, architecture boards, and governance forums.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for Denodo developers.
