Position summary

Duties

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods; regulate cooking equipment temperatures and thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
• Ensure correct portions, arrangement, and garnishing; maintain food logs and monitor prepared food quality and quantity.
• Communicate staffing support needs, excess food for daily specials, menu specials, and unavailable menu items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees as needed.
• Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe incidents, and complete safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; meet quality expectations.
• Address guest needs, communicate professionally, and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform reaching, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks; move items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Complete other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified as required; no license or certification is specified.
