Demand Planner | Supply Planner

Role overview

Planning and forecasting

• Develop and maintain forecasts from sales history, market trends, customer requirements, and business plans.
• Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, promotions, market changes, and forecast-versus-actual variances.
• Work with sales and commercial teams on campaigns, promotions, product launches, and demand changes.
• Translate forecasts into supply and replenishment plans that balance demand, inventory investment, capacity, and supply constraints.
• Support product launches, phase-outs, promotions, and seasonal demand planning.

Inventory and supplier coordination

• Monitor stock, safety stock, reorder points, lead times, targets, shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving items, and obsolescence risks.
• Coordinate purchase orders, replenishment schedules, production requirements, and inbound deliveries with procurement.
• Communicate with suppliers on availability, lead times, delivery schedules, and capacity; monitor performance and escalate disruptions.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely product movement and availability.

Reporting and improvement

• Maintain planning data and schedules in ERP or planning systems; track forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, fill rates, and stock availability.
• Support S&OP and IBP reviews, provide management reports and recommendations, and develop contingency plans for supply and demand risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency and reduce working-capital requirements.
• Continuously improve forecasting, replenishment, planning processes, and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, production planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, supply planning, safety stock, reorder points, and lead-time management.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, data interpretation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with S&OP, IBP, MRP, and supply chain planning processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, and forecasting functions.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, or planning platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management, organization, and time-management skills; able to manage multiple products, suppliers, priorities, and deadlines.
• APICS, CSCP, CPIM, or another supply chain certification is an advantage; relevant inventory-driven industry experience is a plus.
