Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Driver role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to pick up and deliver orders on time to customers and business partners across assigned routes.
Daily tasks include loading and unloading goods, verifying delivery information and documentation, using route optimization tools or mobile applications, and following traffic and safety regulations at all times.
The role also involves providing courteous customer service at delivery locations, resolving basic delivery issues, and communicating any delays or incidents to the operations team.
The Delivery Driver will be expected to maintain vehicle cleanliness, report any maintenance needs, and collaborate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other drivers to ensure efficient and sustainable deliveries.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service skills and a professional, respectful communication style with clients and partners.
- Experience or familiarity with basic warehouse or equipment handling; Forklift Operation experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to support and mentor peers; Training or coaching experience is beneficial for sharing best practices in safety and efficiency.
- Comfort interacting with business partners and promoting positive relationships; Sales or cross-selling experience is a plus.
- Exposure to Food & Beverage logistics or handling, or experience working with food delivery aggregators, is an added advantage.
- Valid UAE driving license with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi roads and traffic regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry packages safely, follow standard operating procedures, and adhere to safety and sustainability guidelines.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Basic proficiency with smartphones or delivery applications for navigation, route management, and delivery confirmation.
