Debt Collector / Collection Officer & TL

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Contact debtors by phone, email, or in person to follow up on overdue payments.
• Negotiate payment plans in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and update account statuses based on payment progress.
• Recommend escalated action, such as legal action, for unresponsive accounts.
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and client-service teams.
• Generate periodic reports for internal and client review.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws and internal standards.

Qualifications and skills

• The posting requests at least two years of debt-collection or credit-control experience and also says freshers may apply.
• A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is an advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE debt-recovery regulations is required.
• Negotiation and conflict-resolution skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is required.
• English fluency is required; Arabic or another regional language is a plus.
• Hindi speakers are preferred.
• Strong ethics and ability to handle sensitive information are required.

Compensation and benefits
