The DC Program Cost Manager is responsible for the financial and commercial management of projects, ensuring effective cost control, budgeting, forecasting, contract support, and value optimization across the project lifecycle.
The role integrates cost management and commercial oversight, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, financially optimized, and aligned with contractual obligations, while providing accurate reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.
Role Accountabilities
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring delivery within approved budgets.
- Review, validate, and certify contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, progress alignment, and contractual compliance.
- Manage variations, change orders, and commercial impacts, ensuring proper evaluation and approval.
- Perform cost forecasting and reporting (EAC, ETC), identifying trends and deviations.
- Analyze cost and commercial performance, recommending corrective actions and value improvements.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring financial protection.
- Support contract administration and claims management in coordination with the Contract Manager.
- Lead preparation of financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with commercial, financial, and governance frameworks, maintaining audit readiness.
Experience And Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial management, cost control, or quantity surveying.
- Experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure or data center projects.
- Strong background in cost management, contracts and financial control.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and commercial frameworks.
- Professional certifications preferred (MRICS, RICS, PMP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field.
