Quality Professionals (Q-Pros) is a leading software quality assurance and testing company, with a strong presence across the Middle East and GCC.
We are looking for Database Administrator / Database Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Transformation initiatives by ensuring robust, efficient, and secure database infrastructure.
This role demands deep technical expertise across multiple database technologies and platforms.
The specialist is responsible for the full lifecycle of database systems.
Including design, deployment, optimization, and maintenance ensuring high availability, data consistency, and performance across on-premise and cloud environments.
The role will be based onsite in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data migration, validation, reconciliation, and transformation activities.
- Review and analyze source-to-target mappings and business rules.
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL/data integration workflows.
- Execute data cleansing, profiling, and quality validation activities.
- Prepare SQL queries, reports, dashboards, and analytical datasets.
- Monitor migration jobs, troubleshoot failures, and analyze logs.
- Support database performance optimization and operational activities.
- Assist in managing relational and non-relational databases.
- Coordinate with business, implementation, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Prepare technical documentation and data validation reports.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in ETL, data migration, reconciliation, and data quality validation.
- Familiarity with reporting and analytical activities (PowerBi).
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis, etc).
- Understanding of database administration concepts, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
- Experience in handling large-scale enterprise data environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
