Database engineering role supporting FLEXCUBE and related systems in banking environments.
The source specifies 7–12+ years in banking database engineering or administration.
Database platform engineering
- Design, install, configure, and administer Oracle database environments across environments.
- Implement RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate for availability, disaster recovery, and replication.
- Define and execute backup, recovery, and archival strategies using RMAN and enterprise backup tools.
- Manage database patching, upgrades, and configuration baselines.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7–12+ years in database engineering or administration, with significant banking experience.
- Experience supporting a large core banking implementation or migration.
- Experience managing mission-critical Oracle databases with strict availability requirements.
Technical skills
- Oracle 19c or later, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Exadata.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL tuning; RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, AWR, and ASH.
- Linux administration and shell or Python scripting.
- Exposure to PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Azure cloud-managed databases.
- Data masking and database security tooling.
Preferred certifications
- Oracle Certified Professional Database Administrator.
- Oracle Exadata Database Machine certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
