We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technology team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to support critical applications and data-driven operations.

Install, configure, maintain, and monitor database systems and environments.
Ensure database availability, reliability, performance, and security.
Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to optimize efficiency.
Manage database user access, permissions, and security controls.
Support database upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities.
Develop and maintain database documentation, standards, and procedures.
Assist application development teams with database design and query optimization.
Perform regular database health checks and capacity planning.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and technical requirements.
Stay updated on emerging database technologies and industry best practices.
โ Requirements
Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Understanding of SQL, database design principles, and performance tuning techniques.
Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies.
Basic knowledge of database security, user management, and access control.
Understanding of cloud database services is an advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Previous experience in database administration, database support, or related IT roles is preferred.
