Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and acquire differentiated datasets from vendors, brokers, exchanges, and other counterparties
- Proactively hunt for new data sources, relationships, and content that may create value
- Build and develop a network of relationships with data providers and other market participants
- Lead commercial discussions and data agreement negotiations
- Collaborate with research and technology teams to assess dataset fit and value
- Drive ongoing data sourcing initiatives in priority domains, developing expertise in providers, use cases, gaps, and opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data sourcing, market data, broker data, quantitative research data, vendor management, or a related role
- Strong understanding of data sources, dataset evaluation, and how data can be used in a quantitative research or systematic trading context
- Experience working with external counterparties and internal research, legal, business, and technology teams
- Meticulously detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency with Python, SQL, or similar tools is a plus
- The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000 - 250,000 per year, based on job-related skills and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
