Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Data Research Engineer specializing in Forecasting.
The primary responsibilities include conducting research and development activities to improve forecasting models, designing and implementing algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance model accuracy.
Additional tasks include analyzing data sets, building predictive models, and applying knowledge of computer science, physics, and data science to solve complex forecasting challenges.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Computer Science concepts, software engineering practices, and programming skills
- Strong background in Research, coupled with Research and Development (R&D)
experience
- Solid foundation in Physics and understanding of quantitative methods
- Expertise in Algorithms and their application in developing forecasting models
- Experience working with data analysis tools and predictive modeling techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote capacity
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in forecasting or startup evaluation is a plus
