The Senior Data Quality Engineer supports and executes enterprise data quality initiatives, including profiling, measurement, process analysis, documentation, issue detection, root-cause analysis, and remediation testing.

Responsibilities
- Profile and validate enterprise data to identify quality exceptions, trends, and root causes.
- Analyze data quality issues and provide clear recommendations to leaders and partners.
- Collaborate with data stewards to define quality rules, monitor metrics, and verify remediation.
- Develop data quality indicators, scorecards, and reports.
- Improve enterprise data quality frameworks, standards, and practices; embed quality considerations in system changes and data initiatives.
- Promote data quality awareness through documentation, training, and stakeholder engagement.
- Build processes, KPIs, and metadata practices supporting governance, MDM rules, regulatory requirements, and tools and automation.
Education and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in MIS, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is the typical preparation stated for this level.
- Five to seven years of data-driven or data-governance-focused experience in financial services is strongly preferred.
Technical qualifications
- Strong SQL skills and experience designing and executing data integrity and validation tests are required.
- Experience developing solutions on AWS or another cloud platform and working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake and frameworks such as dbt.
- Working knowledge of CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and GLBA regulations.
- Experience with data modeling and process documentation tools; Power BI or similar reporting experience is preferred.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex data issues into clear insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including identifying patterns, dependencies, and root causes.
- Organization, ability to manage multiple priorities, independent work, and effective collaboration across business and technical teams.
