Our client is an industrial conglomerate with a diverse portfolio of subsidiary companies and assets, working on cutting edge projects, both regionally and internationally.

They are now looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to join their award winning and growing compliance team.

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is a senior level hire which requires at least 7 years + experience in the field of data governance.

The DPO will be responsible for mapping all information that flows in and out of the organisation and put in place procedural controls to ensure data is handled in line with global regulatory obligations You will be fully up to speed with both local and international laws and regulations in this area and will develop and implement a framework from scratch that is fully compliant with these.

The DPO will have solid data privacy experience, either from a legal or even IT background.

You will be highly detail orientated and willing to take a "roll up your sleeves" and "hands on" approach.
