Your responsibilities will include

• Developing and supporting data pipelines, integrations and ELT processes across business applications and platforms.
• Building and maintaining dbt transformation models, and supporting Snowflake administration, monitoring and performance optimisation.
• Developing and improving Power BI dashboards, reporting and semantic models, including reusable datasets for self-service reporting.
• Working with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical data and analytics solutions.
• Maintaining data quality, security and governance through validation, reconciliation and ongoing monitoring.
• Investigating and resolving data platform issues, maintaining documentation and supporting projects from requirements through to deployment.
• Supporting AI and machine learning initiatives, including forecasting, reporting and opportunities to automate manual processes.

Qualifications

• You’re analytical, curious and comfortable working through complex problems. You can explain technical ideas clearly, build strong relationships and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You’ll also bring:
• At least five years’ experience in data platforms and BI analytics roles.
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, data modelling, SQL Server and Power BI.
• An understanding of AI and automation concepts, including machine learning and generative AI.
• Sound knowledge of data governance, security and quality management.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and within project teams.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Data & Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Python and data automation will be highly regarded, as will experience in hospitality, retail, consumer or multi-site businesses.
