OUR OPPORTUNITY The Data Modeler analyzes existing data structures and designs target-state conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional, and semantic models.
YOU WILL Analyze existing data models across ODS, DWH, EDM, marts, MDM, cubes, and reporting datasets.
Document current entities, attributes, relationships, keys, hierarchies, and business definitions.
Identify duplicate entities, inconsistent definitions, and overlapping datasets.
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the target architecture.
Design dimensional models including facts, dimensions, aggregates, and Gold-layer datasets.
Support semantic model design for reporting and analytics.
Support MDM domain modeling for customer, account, product, reference data, or other domains.
Create source-to-target mapping specifications.
Work with Business Analysts to validate business definitions and rules.
Work with ETL Developers to ensure correct implementation of models.
Support reconciliation between existing and target data models.
