About Keyloop

Keyloop connects dealers, manufacturers, technology suppliers, and car buyers through technology supporting digital transformation.

Its platform connects client systems, departments, and sites and uses data to help clients improve efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.

Role Overview

An experienced contractor will lead the analysis, design, and execution of a migration from one Salesforce org to another, using Microsoft SQL Server for staging and transformation.

The role owns the end-to-end migration data workstream, including profiling, mapping, transformation, loading, reconciliation, and cutover.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. It may be filled at Data Analyst or Data Architect level depending on candidate experience; architect-level candidates also shape the migration approach and standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and document migration approach, scope, sequencing, cutover, and rollback considerations.
  • Profile Salesforce source data for volume, quality, duplication, and dependencies across standard and custom objects.
  • Map source and target objects and fields, including data types, picklists, record types, required fields, and validation rules.
  • Design and maintain SQL Server staging databases and schemas for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and staging.
  • Write, optimize, and test T-SQL stored procedures, views, ETL logic, and data-cleansing rules.
  • Preserve parent-child relationships, record ownership, referential integrity, and source-to-target ID cross-references during loading.
  • Use appropriate extraction and loading tools; manage errors and reruns.
  • Plan development, test/UAT, and production rehearsal cycles and execute production cutover.
  • Run record-count, field-comparison, and sampling checks; produce business sign-off evidence.
  • Work with Salesforce administrators, developers, business analysts, and data owners to resolve data issues and agree transformation rules.
  • Manage risks such as data volume and API limits, automation and trigger impacts, and sharing and ownership considerations.
  • Comply with GDPR and internal data governance and security standards; deliver mapping specifications, scripts, runbooks, lessons learned, and a handover pack.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience delivering Salesforce org-to-org migrations or migrating other systems into Salesforce; a production cutover is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce standard and custom objects, relationships, record types, and field types.
  • Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, large-dataset joins, performance tuning, and data-quality checks.
  • Experience with Salesforce extraction and loading tools, including one or more suitable tools such as Data Loader, Bulk API, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, Boomi, or dbAmp.
  • Experience in data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, mapping, reconciliation, and audit trails.
  • Understanding of Salesforce ownership and sharing, validation rules, triggers and flows, API limits, and record IDs across orgs.
  • Awareness of GDPR and secure handling of customer data.
  • Excellent communication, ability to explain technical data concepts to business stakeholders, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Salesforce certifications are desirable.
