Role overview

The Transverse Data Manager works in the CWA Transverse Delivery Team within the Main Civil Works Section, supporting construction of Sizewell C.

The role leads trusted data services and scalable AI capabilities across a major infrastructure programme.

The data environment supports project delivery, commercial decisions, nuclear assurance and release of completed products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the data service supporting the CWA Data & Reporting Strategy and six Transverse delivery strategies.
  • Own master scope lists for more than 7,000 rooms and multiple products, aligned with schedule, quality, supply-chain and 3D model data.
  • Establish consistent scope codes, Room IDs, naming conventions and measurement rules across key systems.
  • Integrate information from P6, Fieldview, Teamcenter, ASITE, GMAO, MTA and the 3D/PDMS model.
  • Deliver operational-user-focused Power BI dashboards for scope, status and forecasts.
  • Digitise quality records and improve visibility of LTQR, QRC, handover and exception-closure status.
  • Develop AI use cases including automated LTQR review, NCR trend analysis and forecast confidence.
  • Lead and develop the multidisciplinary data team, including data and digital engineering roles.
  • Promote data governance, security, lineage, stewardship and BS EN ISO 19650 compliance.

Essential experience and capabilities

  • Proven experience managing and delivering data services.
  • Strong project or programme management, including managing risks, resources and dependencies across organisations.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, architecture, integration, quality and lineage.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, ideally in a federated or shared environment.
  • Experience delivering data services on a major construction, engineering or infrastructure programme.
  • Strong Power BI and dashboard-delivery capability for operational users.
  • Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 and information management in a Common Data Environment.
  • Understanding of information security and data classification in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with the AI and machine-learning lifecycle and data foundations for responsible models.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management, leadership and communication skills.

Advantageous experience

  • Nuclear programme experience, particularly HPC or EPR, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality records, material traceability, client-owned infrastructure, ethical AI frameworks, GDPR, or Agile, Waterfall, SAFe, Scrum or APM is beneficial.
