Role overview

The Data Management Analyst joins Royal London Asset Management's Data team, supporting Front Office desks and Client Group teams.

The role acts as custodian of core data domains including security, portfolio, benchmark, reference and product data.

The role supports business objectives by resolving data issues, monitoring controls and maintaining data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain and enrich core investment data across portfolios, securities and benchmarks.
  • Investigate and resolve data-quality issues, escalating where necessary; respond to business questions and report quality metrics.
  • Capture requirements and use cases for data extracts, reports, operational processes, controls and AI solutions.
  • Carry out operational processes for portfolio, security, benchmark, pricing, classification, data extract and reporting data.
  • Collaborate with data champions, data strategy, data governance and technology colleagues; align requirements with data and AI strategy.
  • Monitor data usage and controls and keep abreast of business, innovation, strategic and regulatory changes affecting data.

Requirements

  • Some experience managing asset-management data, such as portfolio, security or benchmark data, is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A process-driven approach focused on continuous improvement and automation; curious, eager to learn and growth-minded.
  • Experience with data-management practices and tools such as master data management, visualization or relational databases is preferred but not essential.
  • Automation and AI skills are advantageous. Experience with SQL, Power BI or Power Automate is advantageous.
  • Dashboarding experience with Power BI or Sigma is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analytics, a data-related field or STEM.
  • BlackRock Aladdin experience is preferred but not essential.

Workplace and schedule

  • Hybrid working, with 50% home-based and 50% office-based work.
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with listed shift patterns from 07:30, 08:00 or 09:30 start times.
