Role overview
Program Manager – Data Governance role supporting a client in the financial services industry.
The 12-month contract may be extended.
Hybrid work in Toronto, onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Lead data governance roadmaps, programs, and enterprise technology initiatives.
- Gather business requirements and develop epics, features, and user stories.
- Coordinate Agile ceremonies, delivery teams, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with business, technology, engineering, risk, compliance, privacy, and executive stakeholders.
- Prepare executive presentations, status reports, and business cases.
- Drive governance adoption, change management, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement.
Must-have qualifications
- 8+ years in Program Management, Product Management, Data Governance, Data & Analytics, or Enterprise Technology Delivery.
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data quality, lineage, data access, governance controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Databricks Unity Catalog, Microsoft Azure, Informatica IDMC, Power BI, and JIRA.
- Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to have
- Financial services or regulated-industry experience.
- Experience developing governance operating models and business cases.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, Data Governance, Cloud, or Product Management certifications.
