Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Data Governance Manager based in Abu Dhabi, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week.
The Data Governance Manager will design, implement, and oversee data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the organization.
Responsibilities
include defining data ownership and stewardship models, establishing data quality criteria, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with data-related regulations and internal guidelines.
The role involves monitoring data quality metrics, leading root-cause analyses for data issues, and driving remediation plans.
The Data Governance Manager will collaborate with IT, business teams, and leadership to align data management practices with strategic objectives and support informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong Data Governance skills, including defining policies, standards, and data stewardship models.
- Experience with Data Quality practices such as setting quality rules, monitoring metrics, and resolving data issues.
- Proficiency in Data Management and Master Data Management, including data lifecycle, metadata, and reference data practices.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for assessing data, generating insights, and supporting data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at different levels.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to data in the region is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., DCAM, DAMA) are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across on-site and remote work.
