Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Founder role based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Founder will be responsible for defining the company vision, long-term strategy, and key business priorities in alignment with Toyota’s global direction and the local market context.
On a day-to-day basis, the role includes overseeing core operations, guiding product and manufacturing strategies, and ensuring that quality, safety, and efficiency targets are consistently met.
The Founder will build and lead high-performing leadership teams, establish governance structures, and cultivate a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The role also involves managing key stakeholder relationships, including government bodies, industry partners, suppliers, and internal global counterparts, while identifying new growth opportunities and ensuring financial sustainability.
The Founder will represent the organization in public forums, strategic negotiations, and high-level discussions that influence the company’s long-term trajectory.
Qualifications
- Strong strategic leadership and vision-setting abilities, including experience defining long-term business roadmaps and organizational goals.
- Proven experience overseeing large-scale operations, with a focus on process optimization, quality management, and cost efficiency.
- Solid background in business development, market analysis, and identifying new revenue opportunities in competitive industries.
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management, including government relations, partnerships, and cross-border collaboration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
- Experience building and mentoring executive-level teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of manufacturing or automotive industry dynamics, regulatory environments, and supply chain ecosystems is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related field required; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or willingness to learn is strongly preferred.
- Ability to be fully on-site in Jakarta, Indonesia, and to travel as needed for regional and global business
