What the participant will do

• Immerse in a business challenge and collaborate to develop an innovative product.
• Design, create, and deliver a functional prototype that solves a real business need.
• Design, troubleshoot, and develop the product.
• Work with subject matter experts, mentors, and executive sponsors from technology and business.
• Participate in training opportunities, including design thinking and agile development.
• Present to executives and develop project strategy and communications.

Must-have qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution and graduating between August 2027 and June 2028; college, undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students may apply.
• Understanding of programming languages, databases, platforms, frameworks, design techniques and tools, code management tooling, and/or web technologies.
• Experience with data transformation, engineering, cleaning, and mining.
• Experience applying modern data science techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; able to challenge the status quo and develop solutions.
• Experience in one or more of machine learning algorithms, computational mathematics, bioinformatics, or artificial intelligence.
• Experience in one or more of large language models, natural language processing, topic modelling, or data clustering.
• Experience with service-based architectures and API development, such as REST or GraphQL.
• Experience with databases, storage, and data visualization tools.

Nice to have

• Hackathon experience is an asset.
• Interest or previous experience in financial services or FinTech is an asset.
• Practical web or mobile development experience is an asset.
• Experience with agile or design thinking methodologies or frameworks is an asset.
