The role supports reliable, well-governed data access for analysts, data scientists, and operational teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark and Python, with optimized, validated, standardized workflows and batch processes.
- Gather complex stakeholder requirements and shape data for analysts' dashboards and insight work.
- Build and manage data supply to systems and applications, including databases and scripts for cross-business use.
- Lead large-scale data and platform transformation or migration, set direction, identify issues, and develop team capability.
- Develop cloud pipelines, products, automation, logging, monitoring, and performance assurance.
- Oversee data and metadata cataloguing tools and compliance with business standards.
- Lead Agile practices, version control, automation, monitoring, pipeline testing, deployment, and change tracking.
Requirements and clearance
- Expert-level Azure data engineering, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and technical team leadership experience.
- Security Check clearance is required.
