About This Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Data Engineer
to design, manage, and support data pipelines for event-based applications.
The role focuses on ensuring
reliable data ingestion, transformation, and availability
during live operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
ETL processes, data integration, and troubleshooting
, along with the ability to work in a
fast-paced, customer-facing environment
supporting critical event operations.
1. Data Pipeline Management
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for event-driven applications
- Ensure smooth data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
- Monitor pipeline performance and optimize for efficiency
2. Data Integration & Processing
- Integrate data from multiple source systems into centralized platforms
- Support ETL processes and data workflows
- Ensure data consistency across systems
3. Troubleshooting & Support
- Perform remote troubleshooting of data-related issues
- Identify and resolve:
- Data latency issues
- Pipeline failures
- Data quality inconsistencies
- Provide real-time support during live events
4. Data Quality & Validation
- Validate data accuracy during live operations
- Ensure completeness and reliability of datasets
- Support post-event data reconciliation and reporting
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Application teams
- Reporting/analytics teams
- IT support teams
- Manage data dependencies and ensure alignment across systems
6. Continuous Improvement
- Follow best practices in data engineering and ETL design
- Improve pipeline performance and reliability
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes
• Troubleshooting & Debugging
- Basic scripting (Python preferred)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in:
- Data pipelines
- ETL processes
- Database management
- Data integration
- Experience in:
- Remote troubleshooting
- Customer support environment
- Exposure to high-volume data environments preferred
