Role overview
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data systems and engineering solutions for business and technical requirements.
Data engineering work
- Build and maintain pipelines to collect, process, transform, and integrate data from internal and external sources.
- Design ETL processes and develop data models, database structures, and integration processes for databases, warehouses, and other platforms.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data and make it available in appropriate formats for analysis and reporting.
- Automate ingestion, transformation, validation, and processing; implement data-quality controls and test outputs.
- Monitor platforms and pipelines, troubleshoot processing and availability issues, and optimize performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, software developers, and other technical professionals.
- Assess existing systems, recommend improvements, and support implementation of new data technologies.
- Document architecture, models, pipelines, configurations, and integration processes; apply data security and access controls.
Pay
- Pay is £54,000–£60,000 per year.
Workplace
- Hybrid remote in Birmingham B18 6BA.
