Job Summary
Recyclexpert FZE is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Data Destruction & ITAD Technician
to handle secure data erasure, degaussing, and physical destruction of IT assets in compliance with industry standards and UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform secure data wiping using certified software (e.g., Blancco / BitRaser standards)
- Operate degaussing machines for magnetic media destruction
- Conduct physical hard drive shredding and dismantling
- Execute onsite and offsite data destruction projects at client locations
- Maintain detailed logs, audit trails, and certificates of destruction
- Ensure compliance with Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) guidelines and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST 800-88) standards
- Support warehouse operations and asset tracking
Requirements
- Experience in IT hardware handling, ITAD, or electronics recycling preferred
- Basic knowledge of data wiping / formatting / storage devices (HDD, SSD, servers)
- Ability to handle machinery (shredders, degaussers)
- Physically fit and able to handle equipment
- High level of integrity and confidentiality (critical requirement)
- UAE driving license (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with R2v3 or ISO-compliant environments
- Familiarity with asset inventory systems
- Previous field service / onsite technician experience
