Position summary
The Data Conversion Interface Analyst performs project activities and contributes to conversion solution planning.
The role works with customer subject matter experts, technical resources, and third-party vendors to design data conversion requirements and standards.
The position may be in-office, in-person, or hybrid for those local to South Bend, and remote for those not local; flexible hours may be needed for go-live conversions.
Responsibilities
- Design and document conversion requirements that meet third-party software vendor ingestion specifications.
- Lead business analysis and workflow reviews to capture business and technical requirements.
- Create technical specifications and project documentation, and maintain internal conversion process documentation.
- Work with developers and implementation specialists on automated validation methods.
- Perform SQL data modeling, create conversion deliverables, and validate outputs before delivery.
- Use interface engines such as Epic Bridges and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and set standards for quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Estimate timelines, monitor projects, report status, escalate delays, and ensure timely completion of quality deliverables.
- Support go-live activities, communicate with customers, resolve project issues, and provide courteous customer service.
- Assist with department facilities and equipment, participate in committees or focus groups, and complete assigned projects.
Education and experience
- BS or MS in Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of data conversion and integration experience and at least 5 years working with relational databases.
- Epic Bridges certification; experience with MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience taking accountability for high-profile projects.

- Knowledge of querying and manipulating large-scale databases and analyzing data in varied formats.
- Understanding of conversion processes and best practices, including strategies for legacy data conversions.
