Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Writer role based in the City of Johannesburg.
The Writer will create clear, engaging, and accurate content for a variety of channels, including internal communications, digital platforms, marketing materials, and client-facing documents.
Daily responsibilities include drafting and refining copy, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business objectives, and ensuring that all content aligns with Nedbank’s brand voice and regulatory requirements.
The role involves researching topics, simplifying complex financial concepts, and tailoring messages for specific audiences.
The Writer will also support content planning, participate in reviews and approvals, and maintain consistent quality and tone across all written materials.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and accessible way.
- Experience creating content for multiple channels, such as websites, email, social media, internal communications, or marketing campaigns.
- Ability to conduct focused research, interpret information accurately, and translate it into high-quality written content.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines, tone of voice standards, and basic principles of digital communication or content design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with openness to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience in financial services, banking, or a regulated industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
