Data & Business Intelligence Analyst

Role summary

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and analytical tools; monitor and refine data quality.
• Resolve data errors and inconsistencies in a timely manner.
• Present findings in reports, tables, graphs, and charts for management and clients.
• Create ad hoc reports and views to support management research and analysis.
• Mine data for correlations and patterns; organize and transform information into comprehensible structures.
• Use data to predict customer and consumer population trends and perform statistical analysis.
• Recommend ways to support budgets by streamlining business processes.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to learn applications and processes quickly, and sound independent judgment.
• Collaborative team approach, excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to build cross-functional partner relationships.
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL and tools that leverage SQL.
• Experience writing software requirements and test specifications and using data to drive business decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent, or at least 3 years of relevant UPS experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Degree in Business/Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, MIS, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with data warehousing, data science software, or similar analytics/business intelligence systems.
