Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Data Engineer to work on a contractor basis.

This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL processes to ensure smooth data integration and transformation, ultimately contributing to the development of next-generation AI systems.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a global leader in the technology industry, applying their expertise to help train AI models and shape how they learn, reason, and perform.

The Data Engineer will be responsible for collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data needs and implement tailored solutions, optimizing existing workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL processes to ensure smooth data integration and transformation, utilizing expertise in data engineering and Python programming.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data needs and implement tailored solutions, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Optimize existing workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability, applying knowledge of data processing and software development principles.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production data pipelines to uphold data integrity, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Write clean, well-documented Python code adhering to industry standards and best practices, demonstrating expertise in software development and data engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language, with experience in ETL processes and data integration.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, with a strong understanding of data processing and software development principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of data quality and validation mechanisms, with experience in implementing data validation processes and ensuring data integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
