The Data Analytics Specialist supports the bank’s analytical and reporting functions by developing dashboards, analyzing trends, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.
The role plays a critical part in delivering business insights that enhance operational efficiency and data-driven strategy.
Dashboard Design & Reporting
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using SAP BO, Power BI and SQL.
- Create interactive visualizations to present insights and support business decision-making.
- Document report logic, visualization standards, and data definitions for transparency.
Data Preparation & Management
- Extract, transform, and validate data from multiple systems for analysis using Information as data integration tool
- Perform data cleansing, and consistency checks to ensure accuracy.
- Support data quality and governance initiatives to maintain standardized datasets.
Analytics & Insights
- Analyze KPIs, metrics, and trends to identify patterns and performance opportunities.
- Prepare actionable insights and recommendations for business teams.
- Assist in automating manual reporting and analytical processes to improve efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into reports or dashboards.
- Facilitate communication between IT, analytics, and business users to ensure alignment on objectives.
- Support training and knowledge-sharing on report usage and analytics best practices.
Implementation & Poc Support
- Support setup, testing, and validation of POCs and pilot initiatives.
- Track post-pilot results and ensure proper documentation for decision-making.
- Assist in handover activities when moving validated solutions into delivery or production.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and analytical processes.
- Develop reusable dashboards, reports, and automated solutions to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Self And People Development
· Continuously develop technical and analytical skills to stay aligned with evolving data practices.
Requirements
- Omani nationality only
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Certifications in Power BI, SQL, Data Analytics, or related tools are an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data management roles.
