Role overview

Build a data and insight function for Reform UK, bringing together performance, audience, membership, campaign and operational information.

The role is based at the party's Westminster headquarters and reports to the Executive Editor.

Create a shared source of decision-ready insight for leaders and teams across the organisation.

Data function and reporting

  • Map data sources, owners, definitions, access rights, reporting rhythms and decision needs across the organisation.
  • Design and implement a data stack for information from digital channels, website, search, email, ReformGo, membership, campaigns and other systems.
  • Establish definitions, baselines, targets and data-quality standards and build a roadmap toward timely, increasingly automated decision support.
  • Create role-appropriate dashboards and scorecards that show trends, targets and context and support decisions.
  • Connect activity and output to outcomes where attribution is reasonable, and automate recurring reporting where practical.

Analysis and organisational adoption

  • Produce concise analysis explaining what changed, why it matters, likely drivers and recommended action.
  • Identify journey drop-offs and work with teams to test improvements; use hypotheses, success criteria and post-test analysis to support learning.
  • Use segmentation and cohort analysis to identify meaningful behavioural patterns.
  • Work with senior stakeholders and organisational teams on performance reviews and practical analysis.
  • Challenge weak assumptions and vanity metrics, clarify uncertainty, and train colleagues to understand dashboards and core metrics.

Governance and leadership

  • Align analytics work with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act, ICO guidance and relevant organisational policies.
  • Work with the DPO and system owners on lawful basis, consent, minimisation, retention, access, pseudonymisation, URL and log hygiene, and appropriate personal-data use.
  • Maintain data lineage, permissions and documentation so metrics are reproducible and sensitive information is appropriately restricted.
  • Build monitoring for material changes, broken journeys, unusual movements and data-quality failures.
  • Build relationships with senior leaders, digital teams, campaigns, membership, operations, suppliers and technical partners.

Role capabilities

  • Lead the development of an organisation-wide data and insight function and practical data stack.
  • Establish trusted reporting, data definitions and quality standards.
  • Deliver useful dashboards, analysis and automated reporting for different audiences.
  • Apply data governance and UK data-protection requirements in analytics work.
  • Communicate findings and work effectively with senior stakeholders and teams.
