Role responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements through stakeholder discussions and workshops.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; perform process and gap analysis.
  • Collaborate with business, development, QA, and data teams throughout the SDLC/STLC.
  • Design and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing; develop test cases and validation criteria.
  • Perform ETL, source-to-target, data migration, reconciliation, and data quality testing.
  • Write complex SQL queries for backend validation; investigate discrepancies, find root causes, and validate defect fixes.
  • Track requirements, defects, risks, and action items in Jira and Confluence in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Communicate project status, findings, risks, and recommendations while supporting stakeholder collaboration.

Tools and technologies

  • Tools and technologies include SQL Server, Python, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
  • Mandatory skill: Python application programming.

Experience

  • The posting states an experience range of 5–8 years.

Compensation

  • Expected compensation is CAD 50–60 per hour.
