Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a SQL Developer to work on a contract basis.

The selected candidate will design, develop, and optimize SQL queries to support next-generation AI training pipelines and data analytics.

This role is critical to ensuring high-quality data inputs for machine learning models across domains such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.

The work directly shapes how AI systems learn, reason, and perform in real-world applications.

No prior AI experience is required — domain expertise in data management and SQL is what matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries to support AI data training pipelines and analytics.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and implement effective data solutions.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract insights and ensure data integrity for machine learning workflows.
  • Implement and maintain database structures to facilitate efficient data processing and retrieval.
  • Document processes and write clear technical and user-facing documentation for SQL workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of SQL scripts and stored procedures.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders to improve data pipeline efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL with demonstrated experience in designing, writing, and optimizing complex queries.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and ensuring data integrity for analytical or machine learning workflows.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and implementation of efficient data retrieval systems.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to write clear technical and user-facing materials.
  • Experience participating in code reviews and performance tuning of SQL scripts and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and schema design is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
